Mission
No Mustang is Too Rank to Ride.
At 2Rank2Ride in Powell, Wyoming, our mission is simple and stubborn: no mustang is too rank to ride. We take wild Bureau of Land Management mustangs straight from the holding pens and turn them into tough, dependable saddle and pack horses built for real backcountry work.
Led by retired PRCA bulldogger John Silva, we specialize in honest, no-nonsense training of these hardy, mountain-bred horses. With their mule-tough bone, sure feet, and natural ability to cover rough country, BLM mustangs make the perfect partners for hunters, ranchers, and riders who need horses that won’t quit when the trail gets steep and the weather turns mean.
We ease pressure on the range by giving excess mustangs a useful future instead of long-term holding pens. Through patient, practical horsemanship, we find the window to each horse’s mind, respecting their wild intelligence while shaping them into reliable mounts that can pack loads, cross timber, and handle the high country with confidence.
